Aesculus glabra var. arguta (Texas Buckeye)
$ 17.98
Texas Buckeye is a small, multi-trunked tree or larger shrub. It is similar to Aesculus glabra (Ohio Buckeye) but smaller in all parts. It features attractive clusters of pale-yellow blooms. It does best in part shade and likes a wet or moist soil that are well-draining.
Texas Buckeye is a good specimen tree for a small space. It is better adapted to hot, dry conditions than the similar Ohio buckeye. In drought situations, leaf blotch and leaf scorch can be a problem and may drop leaves, but typically does not affect the plant in any permanent way.
